Fabrication to Existing Materials in Plaster, Concrete or Resin
For clients with an older property where the existing mouldings cannot be taken down we offer a “match to existing” service. This means that we can reproduce original mouldings such as plaster mouldings or in concrete of resin, and allow restoration works to proceed to restore your home to its original grandeur. This is a particularly useful service where the property is listed and the specification on the mouldings used will be stringent.

Why use concrete mouldings or resin mouldings instead of plaster mouldings? Well the answer is simply to do with exterior use and weather resistance. Again the ideas are not new and the ideas go back to Roman times. Concrete mouldings and particularly resin are well suited to exterior conditions. Matching Existing Mouldings
A common issue is not that of buying mouldings but of trying to restore an existing situation and trying to match an existing moulding. This may apply to interior and exterior situations.. At the Period Casting Company we stock all the materials necessary for you to make a mould of an existing moulding, which can be returned to us as a template form which more moulding can be produced in the medium required and shipped to you in a quick and efficient manner to allow you to carry the project through to a satisfactory conclusion.
